Terms and Conditions

Last updated: March 2025

By registering, signing in, or using demo.st (“Service”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

demo.st lets you reserve a subdomain and publish static web content (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images) that we serve via our infrastructure. You are responsible for all content you upload and for complying with these Terms and applicable law.

2. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to host, publish, or link to:

We may remove or block content and suspend or terminate access without prior notice if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or the law.

3. Hosting and Infrastructure

Subdomain hosting is static only: we serve files (e.g. HTML, CSS, JS, images) via Nginx. We do not provide server-side scripting (e.g. PHP), databases, or backend runtimes for user subdomains. You may only publish content that fits this static hosting model.

4. Ownership and Control

We own and operate the Service and the infrastructure (servers, network, software) used to host your subdomain. We have the right to:

You do not acquire any ownership or rights in our infrastructure or the Service beyond a revocable right to use your reserved subdomain in accordance with these Terms.

5. No Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or that the Service will be error-free or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if the Service is free).

6. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

7. Changes

We may change these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

8. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any part is held invalid, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them without restriction.
